Simon Fleming Photography - Code Of Conduct for a Child Safe Organisation

In our role as photographers when interacting with children we:

  • will adhere to our organisation’s child safe policy at all times and take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and protection of children.

  • treat everyone with respect and honesty including staff, volunteers, students, children & parents.

  • aim to be positive role models to children in all of our conduct with them.

  • listen and respond appropriately to the views and concerns of children.

  • ensure that another adult is always present or in sight when photographing a child (this is why our business specifically has two staff that attend kindergarten photo sessions).

  • aim to be alert to children who are, or may be at risk of harm, and report this quickly to the Child Abuse Report Line (13 14 78).

  • will respond quickly, fairly and transparently to any serious complaints made by a child, or their parent/guardian.

  • will avoid physical contact with children.

  • will not do things of a personal nature that a child can do for themselves, such as toileting or changing clothes.

  • will not discriminate against any child because of age, gender, cultural background, religion, vulnerability or sexuality.

A breach of our code of conduct can be reported directly to the staff of the kindergarten concerned, or a claim can be made in writing to us at info@sfpkindys.com.

All claims of a breach of our code of conduct will be responded to quickly & treated with all due care.
